Biography
Keith C. Koford was named vice president, legal, regulatory and clinical affairs in January 2017. He has been affiliated with RTI since May 2007 in both in-house and outside counsel roles, having also represented RTI while practicing law at the international law firm of Holland & Knight, LLP. In his current role, Koford oversees all global legal, intellectual property, compliance, regulatory and clinical affairs teams. Previously, Koford practiced in Holland & Knight’s International and Cross Borders Transactions Group, and as a member of its Healthcare and Life Sciences Team. Koford has more than 20 years of business and legal experience. Over the course of his legal career he has represented both privately-held and publicly traded healthcare, medical device and pharmaceutical companies in general corporate, M&A, intellectual property and commercial transactions, as well as compliance, complex commercial litigation and mass torts. Prior to his legal career, he gained operations experience at a genomics-based pharmaceutical development company, managing its high-throughput DNA sequencing operations. Koford is currently a Master of Business Administration candidate at the M.I.T. Sloan School of Management. He earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Florida and a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Auburn University. He also attended Johns Hopkins University where he earned Master of Science degree credits as a bioscience regulatory affairs major.
