Biography
He had always been interested in science and the natural world. He attended Lewis University in Romeoville and obtained a BS in biology. He also worked as a pharmacy technician and was exposed to pharmaceutics early in her career. He then attended Rush University for a PhD in pharmacology. His research in ovarian cancer led her to multidisciplinary fields, such as tumor immunology and molecular pathology. After completing a fellowship in the Department of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Chicago, he started teaching pharmacology. His previous position was at Chicago State’s College of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutic Sciences.
Research Interest
Research areas are Ovarian cancer: molecular pathogenesis, tumor microenvironment, immune cell/cancer communication, drug targets for metastasis, drug repurposing and Drug discovery from marine sources.
