Biography
Yimin Chen, MS, RDN, CNSC, LDN, is an advanced level dietitian pursuing research on the beneficial effects of human milk in premature infants, specifically how the amount and timing of human milk feedings affect intestinal injury and oxidative stress. Her collaborative efforts with the departments of neonatology, nursing and psychology focus on growth, future metabolic sequelae and neurocognitive development as a function of human milk exposure. Her other research investigates connections between the prevalence and severity of pediatric malnutrition to clinical outcomes and hospital cost.
