Ernest Brittingham

Biography

  Ernie Brittingham is a member of the firm’s Healthcare Sector and leads the global Medical Devices and Diagnostics Practice. He is also a member of the Private Equity and Board Directors/CEO Sectors. Ernie's areas of expertise include the assessment and recruitment of board, president, CEO and other C-level roles. He has nearly two decades of experience and has completed more than 350 executive searches. Ernie also manages a number of the firm's key global relationships. He is based in New York. Previous Experience Prior to joining the firm, Ernie spent 16 years in roles of increasing responsibility within the search industry. His clients ranged from private equity-owned companies to Fortune 500 companies, and he filled CEO, COO, President, General Manager, Chief Commercial Officer, and other senior-level functional and business unit executive positions in North America, Europe, and Asia. He also led a long-term collaboration with a company which placed more than 150 leaders globally and increased its revenue from $5 billion to $20 billion. Ernie began his career at a medical packaging company where he was part of a turnaround team in a fast-track management development program. While there, he held roles in sales, strategic marketing, operations, and M&A integration. Additional Professional Activities Ernie is race manager for the Baltimore/D.C.-area Race for the Cure and is a supporter of numerous civic and charitable activities. Education Ernie received both his B.A. in Communications and his M.B.A. from Loyola University.
