Biography
I am a retired Naval Officer having spent 26 years of active service. After leaving the service I joined the secondary education community, ultimately teaching for five different colleges and universities. I was employed for seven years by Virginia’s largest highway paving company as the Training Director and EEO Manager. I have been a member of Saint Leo University faculty for four years as a professor of Human Resource Management. As a published author my work includes numerous presentations, peer reviewed articles and one book chapter. I am a member of the peer review committee for the International Association of Journals and Conferences. I live in Chesapeake, VA with my wife, Dr. Eleanor L. Hoy who is a professor of electronic technology at Norfolk State University.
Research Interest
Teaching & Professional Interests: My technical research interest involves the Conditioned Head Turn Response Technique for measuring human response to auditory stimuli. My research lab is located at the Norfolk State University. This grant is in its fourth year and funding was extended without solicitation by the NRC. Research in the management field focuses on identification and measurement of the leadership skill set.
