Fehir Aaron

Biography

Aaron Fehir is Assistant Professor of Philosophy in the Department of Philosophy, Theology, and Religion at Saint Leo University. His research focuses on the Danish philosopher Søren Kierkegaard, existentialism, philosophy of religion, and East-West dialogue. He currently resides in Florida with his wife and two young children.

Research Interest

Dr. Fehir’s teaching interest line up with his personal and professional interests in the area of philosophy of religion. On campus, Dr. Fehir teaches several courses, including two University Explorations options (Encountering the Real, Thinking and Doing Ethics), upper division courses which support the Theology major (History of Philosophy I & II), as well as an interdisciplinary course as part of the Honors program (Classical Worldview). In addition, he teaches a course at the graduate level in service of the Masters of Theology program (Philosophical Foundations for Theology) and has experience teaching online and developing content for both the Center for Online Learning and the Distance Learning program. Dr. Fehir presents at academic philosophy conferences regularly and is currently finishing the writing of his first book, Kierkegaardian Reflections on the Problem of Pluralism.
