Biography
Dr. White has been at Saint Leo University since 1998. Before that she was a mathematics professor at Brevard Community College(BCC) in Melbourne, FL. During her time at BCC, she directed a grant for the University of Central Florida while completing her Doctorate degree. Her personal interests include volleyball, reading, and spending time with her family. She played volleyball at Rollins College where she earned her undergraduate degree in Mathematics before moving to California to complete her MA in Applied Mathematics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is married and has three children. She is originally from Michigan, where she currently spends her summers.
Research Interest
Teaching & Professional Interests: Dr. White is currently the Director of the Honors Program and Professor of Mathematics. In mathematics her focus is on the design and teaching of online courses as well as learner outcomes. She is active in the Mathematics community, serving in many leadership positions, and has received awards from multiple organizations for her service. Within the Honors Program, her teaching focus is on the senior research experience and the freshman apprenticeship. She has written several short books and has created many tutorial videos to support Pearson textbooks and learning resources.
