Biography

Sean Laraway is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and adjunct faculty in the MS Program in Human Factors/Ergonomics. He is the current Project Director of the SJSU-NASA cooperative agreement in the Human Systems Integration Division (Code TH) at NASA Ames Research Center. His research interests include learning, memory, motivation, behavior analysis, behavioral pharmacology, human factors/ergonomics, research methods, data analysis, online education, and consumer behavior. He earned his PhD in the experimental analysis of behavior from Western Michigan University in 2003. He has taught at SJSU since 2004. His work has appeared in a variety of journals, including Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Journal of the Experimental Analysis of Behavior, The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, Pharmacology Biochemistry and Behavior, Journal of Consumer Marketing, The Psychological Record, Experimental and Clinical Psychopharmacology, and others. He is a member of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society, the Psychonomic Society, the California Association of Behavior Analysis, and an affiliate member of APA Division 21 Applied Experimental Psychology. He is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) I and II (from The Back School).
