Biography
Felicity Sale teaches courses in adult neurogenic communication disorders and provides clinical supervision for speech language pathology students. She also supervised graduate students in the Communication Disorders Program in clinical practicum by providing instruction, mentoring and feedback for the assessment and treatment for adults with neurogenic communication disorders and pediatric speech-language disorders in the medical setting. Ms. Sale has developed and expanded multiple clinical programs — programs to prepare future clinicians to deliver best practice speech-language services for diverse populations and disorders. She also has collaborated with a nationally renowned rehabilitation facility to create two on-site medical experiences for UT Dallas graduate students. In addition, Ms. Sale has served on the Texas Speech-Language and Hearing Association’s Medical Committee. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University and her master’s degree from UT Dallas. Research Interest
Child language from a longitudinal and processing perspective, specifically bilingual language development in typically developing children and those with language impairments.
