Biography
Bill graduated with a BLA from the University of Arkansas in 1981 and, after practicing in both Tulsa and Dallas, moved to South Carolina where he worked under Robert Marvin and Ed Pinckney. He joined SW+ in 1992 and is a founding member of the urban edge studio. His practice focuses on urban design and the charrette process. He became a Fellow of the ASLA in 2007. Bill is President of the Ashley Bridge District Board, serves on the 10,000 Trees Committee, and is a member of the ASLA Board of Trustees. During his downtime, Bill enjoys growing vegetables in his Verge Garden, although he hates pulling weeds, and has recently taken up kayaking.
