Biography
Education: BS, Hong Kong Baptist University, 1989; MS, Texas A&M University, 1992; PhD, Texas A&M University, 1998. At SPU since 2001. Before coming to SPU, Dr. Wai Wah Lau held faculty appointments at University of Nevada at Reno and Colorado State University. Dr. Lau’s research areas include approximation theory and mathematical modeling, and he has a passion to recruit and train students to participate in the international mathematics competition Mathematical Contest in Modeling. SPU students have had tremendous results in the competition.
