Biography
He studies Ottoman historiography, mainly focusing on what is referred as “the emergence of historical consciousness” among the Ottomans. This is a fifteenth century phenomenon and his work often entails critical readings of late fifteenth century and early sixteenth century Ottoman history books. Besides this, he researches on early Ottoman history, biographies of Ottoman historians in general, and read theories of history.
