Biography
B.S. Winona State University 1968 Major: Biology M.S. St. Mary's College 1969 Major: Enzymology Ph.D. Oregon State University 1976 Major: Cellular Physiology My professional career has involved research, research administration, teaching and academic administration. I have done research in the areas of cellular physiology with the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Service at the National Fisheries Research Laboratory in Kearneysville, WV and in immunology and virology at the U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Ft. Detrick in Frederick, MD. I have been at Shepherd University since 1991 teaching courses in Cell Biology, Immunology, Virology, Principles of Biology Research and General Biology. In addition to my research interests, I have an interests in the history and philosophy of science and the interactions of science and society.
