Biography
Mr. Ted Davis is currently the President and CEO of Active Implants, a company that provides orthopedic implant solutions that complement the natural biomechanics of the musculoskeletal system. Prior to joining Active Implants, Mr. Davis was Chief Executive Officer of MicroPort Orthopedics, created following the asset purchase of Wright Medical's OrthoRecon Business in January 2014 by MicroPort Scientific Corporation. Mr. Davis was President of the OrthoRecon business for Wright Medical Technology, Inc. ("Wright") since 2012, with global responsibility for the approximately $250 million hip and knee arthroplasty segment. Prior to assuming leadership of the OrthoRecon business, Mr. Davis led Wright's Corporate Development and Research & Development functions. Mr. Davis joined Wright Medical Technology in late 2006 as Vice President, Business Development. Before this, he was a partner with MB Venture Partners, LLC (MBVP), a medical technology and life sciences venture capital firm specializing in musculoskeletal diseases from 2004 to 2006. Prior to joining MBVP, Ted spent seven years with Vector Fund Management (VFM), a $240 million healthcare and life sciences focused venture capital fund in Deerfield, IL. Prior to becoming a venture capitalist, Ted worked in the healthcare management consulting and pharmaceutical industries
