Biography
Dr. Adam Elhofy is a Vice President in the Chicago office of Sikich Investment Banking. Adam has over 14 years of scientific research experience in the areas of immunology, neuroscience, and oncology. Adam leads the scientific evaluation of many due diligence efforts for the Life Science Funds for which Sikich advises on an ongoing basis. Prior to joining Sikich, Adam was the Principal Investigator of a nanotech startup with technology spun off from Argonne Laboratories, where he led the proof of principle effort and applied for SBIR funding. As a consultant, he has developed a pathway to market models for both novel therapeutics and new uses of existing products. He has also identified medical uses for an industrial product which led to the acquisition of angel funding and the beginning of a corporate partnership. Adam was funded by both the National Institutes of Health and the Multiple Sclerosis society as an investigator at Northwestern University Medical School. His doctoral research won him the award of the Top 5 trainee scientists by the American Association of Immunologists.
