Biography
As Chief Executive Officer, Charlie provides strategic leadership and overall management for Simpson Gumpertz & Heger. He previously held several senior leadership positions at the firm, including President, as well as Office Head and Division Head of Structural Engineering for the Washington, DC, office. Since he joined SGH in 1995, Charlie’s engineering practice has involved diverse applications of structural engineering, including design of new construction, design of repairs and modifications to existing buildings, investigations of performance problems and structural failures, and assistance in resolving construction-related disputes. Charlie is a licensed professional engineer in nineteen states. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of New Hampshire and his Master of Science in Structural Engineering from Tufts University.
