Stephen L. Waechter

Biography

From 2008 to 2014, Steve Waechter served as vice president of Business Operations and chief financial officer of ARINC Incorporated, a provider of communications, engineering, and integration solutions for commercial, defense, and government customers worldwide. From 1999 to 2007, he was executive vice president and chief financial officer of CACI International, Inc., one of the largest government information technology contractors. Before joining CACI, Mr. Waechter served as chief financial officer for a number of high technology companies, including Government Technology Services, Inc., Vincam Human Resources, Inc., and Applied Bioscience International. His early career includes 19 years at GE, where he finished as vice president of Finance for GE Information Services. In September 2013, Mr. Waechter joined the board of Vectrus, Inc., a public company that is a leading provider of infrastructure asset management, logistics and supply chain management and information technology, and network communication services to the U.S. government worldwide. He also chairs the Vectrus Audit Committee. Since 2008, Mr. Waechter has been a director and chair of the Audit Committee of Social & Scientific Systems Board of Directors. He is also chair of the Audit Committee and a member of the Executive Committee, Strategic Planning Committee, and Nominating Committee of CareFirst, Inc.; a member of the Board of Trustees of Christian Brothers University; and former chair of the Finance Committee of the Choral Arts Society of Washington, DC. Mr. Waechter holds a BA from Christian Brothers College and an MBA in Finance from Xavier University. In June 2002, Mr. Waechter was honored at the 6th Annual Greater Washington Technology Chief Financial Officer awards, winning the CFO Community Service Award.
