Biography
Dr. Carmelo A. Lo Faro has been the President of Composite Materials Global Business Unit at Solvay SA since April 01, 2017. Dr. Lo Faro has been the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President at Cytec Industries Inc. since April 2015. Dr. Lo Faro is responsible for driving the Cytec Industries` technology and innovation strategy as well as collaborating with key partners including customers, suppliers and the academic community. Dr. Lo Faro joined Solvay following the acquisition of Cytec in December 2015, leading the industrial business line and strategy and business. Most recently, Dr. Lo Faro has served as Vice President of Technology, Aerospace and Industrial Materials of the Cytec Industries, which he joined in 2001.
