Biography
Todd Letcher received his PhD from The Ohio State University in Mechanical Engineering in 2012. Since then, he has served as a Post-doc researcher with the SDSU METLab, a lecturer, and is now an Assistant Professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department at SDSU. His research focuses on developing knowledge and technologies that allow 3d printing techniques to be used for end-use manufacturing. Dr. Letcher is also part of the Pathways to Innovation team of engineers and entrepreneurs on campus that has developed the SDSU Changemakers group that brings innovative and entrepreneurial students together from across campus to solve problems and create business ventures run by SDSU students. Dr. Letcher currently teaches Manufacturing Processes, Design Technologies, Design Methods, Machine Design, and advises several senior design projects and independent study projects.
