Biography

 Mr. Thomas M. Rutledge, also known as Tom, has been the Chief Executive Officer of Charter Communications, Inc. since February 13, 2012 and as its Chairman of the Board since May 18, 2016. Mr. Rutledge served as the President of Charter Communications, Inc. from February 13, 2012 to July 26, 2016. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of Cablevision Systems Corporation from April 26, 2004 to December 2011. He served as the Chief Operating Officer of CSC Holdings LLC from April 2004 to December 2011. He served as Secretary of Cable Television Laboratories Inc. He was responsible for overseeing Cable & Communications, Cablevision's consumer products and services division; Lightpath, Cablevision Systems Corp.'s business services division and certain Cablevision corporate functions. He served as the President of Cable and Communications at Rainbow Media Holdings LLC from January 2002 to April 2004. He served as the President of Time Warner Cable Inc. from August 2001 to October 2001. Mr. Rutledge served as Senior Executive Vice President of spearheading the launch and development of a number of Time Warner Cable's broadband consumer products, including: digital cable, high-speed Internet, video-on-demand and switched and IP Telephony services. He served as a Manager Trainee of American Television and Communications (ATC). He began his career in 1977 at American Television and Communications (ATC), a predecessor company of Time Warner Cable. He served as the President of American Television and Communications (ATC)'s Austin, Texas and Portland, Maine divisions. Mr. Rutledge serves as the Chairman of CCH I, LLC. He served as the Chairman of National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA) from 2008 to 2010 and serves as its Director. He has been a Director of Charter Communications, Inc. since February 13, 2012. He has been Director of Charter Communication Inc at CCO Holding LLC since February 13, 2012. He serves as a Director of National Cable Satellite Corporation, C-SPAN, NCTA, CableLabs, the Cable & Telecommunications Assocation for Marketing Educational Foundation, CTAM Educational Foundation and Cable Television Laboratories Inc. In 2011, he received NCTA's Vanguard Award for Distinguished Leadership, the cable industry's highest honor. He is a member of the Cable Hall of Fame and was inducted into the Broadcasting and Cable Hall of Fame in 2011. Mr. Rutledge holds a Bachelor of Administration in Economics from California University in California, PA. in 1977. He attended Harvard's Advanced Management Program in 1995.
