Mr. Geoffrey B. Thrope, also known as Geoff, serves as Chief Executive Officer at Deep Brain Innovations, LLC. Mr. Thropeprovides is a Founder and Chief Executive Officer at NDI Medical LLC, Investment Arm. Mr. Thropeprovides leadership and vision to the NDI Healthcare Fund and its portfolio companies. He serves as Managing Director of NDI Healthcare Fund. He also founded SPR Therapeutics, LLC and serves as its Chairman also served as its Managing Director until February 16, 2016. He founded NDI Medical, LLC in 2002 and serves its Chief Executive Officer, Managing Director, and Chair. He founded NDI to develop and commercialize neurodevice products, establishing three ventures. He served as its President of NDI Medical LLC. He has more than 30 years of neurodevice experience conducting academic research and leading commercial product development, sales and marketing, and business development in the neurodevice industry. As a leading neurodevice entrepreneur, Mr. Thrope has achieved a successful track record of significant returns to his investors. He is the Founder at Medstim, Deep Brain Innovations, and Checkpoint Surgical. He served as a Project Director and Vice President of New Business Development at NeuroControl Corporation from 1994 to 2002, where he led the team's successful product commercialization efforts for bladder and hand restoration systems directed towards spinal cord injured individuals. From 1979 to 1994, Mr. Thrope worked with Case Western Reserve University's prestigious neurostim research center, becoming the Program Director responsible for commercialization of upper extremity neuroprosthetic research applications. He is credited with co-inventing the FREEHAND™ SYSTEM, the world's first commercially available motor control neuroprosthesis. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Advisors of SPR Therapeutics, LLC, which he founded. He serves as Board of Director at NDI Medical LLC, Investment Arm. He serves as Director of SPR Therapeutics, LLC. He has published and presented more than 50 academic articles on the subject of neuroprosthetic systems and has more than 60 neurostimulation patents issued and pending.
