Biography
Dr. Thomas is the Clinical Coordinator of Audiology and Clinical Instructor at St. John’s University for the Long Island Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Consortium. He earned his clinical Doctor of Audiology degree from the same program in 2010 and received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016. Prior to his appointment at the University, Dr. Thomas was the Supervisor of Audiology, Newborn Hearing Screening Program Manager, Pediatric Audiologist, and Clinical Vestibular Rehabilitation Audiologist at the Medysis hospital network, where he managed three large audiology hospital departments and served as chief consultant of hearing care for local geriatric nursing residences. Before that, Dr. Thomas also served as a manager and Chief Audiologist of two private practices in Staten Island, New York, and was a member of the Academy of Doctors of Audiology National Political Advocacy Committee. He has been featured in articles in the Advance for Hearing Practice Management magazine, received the Joan Fox Award for Student Leadership, and was a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association Minority Student Leadership Program.
Research Interest
His areas of audiological interest include vestibular diagnosis/rehabilitation, pediatric electrophysiology, and clinical diagnostic audiology.
