Biography
Dr. Shruti Deshpande earned her Ph.D. in Audiology from the University of Cincinnati in 2014. Prior to her appointment at St. John’s University, Dr. Deshpande was a Visiting Assistant Professor and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Iowa. She is a nationally accredited audiologist. Her overarching research interests are to investigate the use of behavioral and electrophysiologic techniques for the assessment and management of individuals with typical versus atypical listening abilities. Dr. Deshpande is a recipient of several prestigious awards and honors from professional organizations, academic institutions and the industry, alike, in her discipline of CSD - such as - being an invited protégé at the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association's Pathways program, a recipient of the ‘Excellence in Scholarship Award (Life Sciences)’ at the University of Cincinnati and a recipient of the William. F. Austin scholarship.
Research Interest
