Biography
Dr. Yu is a nationally certified speech-language pathologist. Prion to joining the faculty at St. John’s University in 2015, she was an assistant professor at William Paterson University of New Jersey and a lecturer at Hubei Institute of Technology in China. Dr. Yu’s clinical expertise is bilingual child speech and language development, and atypical language development.
Research Interest
Dr. Yu’s research focuses on the neurophysiological basis of language processing. She uses both behavioral and neurophysiological method to examine the neural indices of language processing in bilingual children, and also children with atypical language development such as autism spectrum disorders.
