Biography

Dr. Kathryn J. Martires joined our faculty in August 2016 as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Dermatology. She earned both her Bachelors of Arts in Biology in 2008, graduating summa cum laude, and medical degree in 2012, graduating with Honors, from Case Western Reserve University. She was awarded the Dermatology Faculty Prize for Outstanding Graduating Medical Student. In medical school, she completed the Clinical Research Training Program at the NIH where she trained in clinical research methods, including study design and biostatistics. Dr. Martires completed her residency at NYU, where she received numerous accolades including the George Lipkin, M.D. Prize, The Husik Prize, and First Place in the Stritzler Resident Research Competition. She served as Chief Resident in her final year. Her professional interests are in general dermatology, resident education, academic research, and community outreach, with a special interest in complex medical dermatology, particularly, dermato-oncology and cutaneous lymphoma.
