Biography

Steffen Schütz obtained his diploma in mechanical engineering specializing in mechatronics and microsystems from the University of Karlsruhe. He wrote his diploma thesis titled "Increasing the usability of Multi-Agent Systems in a mechatronic context" within the scope of the FP7 project IDEAS at the institute UNINOVA in Lissabon. Since late 2011 he is a research assistant at the Robotics Research Lab at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern.

Research Interest

His research interests are in the area of compliant actuation for humanoid robots and dedicated embedded systems for robotics based on FPGAs.
