Biography
Miguel Guitart, Ph.D. is an architect and academic from Madrid, Spain. He teaches as Clinical Associate Professor at the Department of Architecture at the School of Architecture and Planning at the University at Buffalo, State University of New York. Guitart obtained his Ph.D in Architecture at the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid (ETSAM), Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) in 2014, where he graduated in architecture and became Licensed Architect in Spain in 2000. Guitart obtained his Master’s Degree at the Graduate School of Design GSD at Harvard University in 2003 as a J. W. Fulbright Scholar. Guitart has taught at the Pontifical University of Madrid UPSAM (Associate Professor 2006-2014), EINA University of Zaragoza UNIZAR (Associate Professor 2013-2014), the Boston Architectural Center BAC (Visiting Professor, 2002-2003), Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Madrid ETSAM (Visiting Lecturer, 2013, 2012, 2010), Harvard University GSD (Visiting Critic, 2002), ESNE-UCJC (Visiting Lecturer, 2011, 2012), and the School of Design and Construction at Washington State University (Visiting Lecturer, 2014).
