Bradley S. Seaman

Biography

    Prof. Bradley S. Seaman, also known as Brad, has been the Managing Partner at Parallel49 Equity since January 2012. Prof. Seaman joined the firm and served as its Managing Director of United States Operations from 1999 to December 2011. Prof. Seaman is involved in all aspects of strategy development, fund raising, acquisitions, and divestiture and management decisions of the firm. Prof. Seaman served as Head of GE Capital's transactions origination teams in Ohio, Michigan and Missouri at GE Capital Corporation. He spent 15 years with General Electric Company. While at GE, Prof. Seaman spent nine years with GE Capital working in a series of increasingly responsible roles. He served as the Senior Vice President of GE's merchant banking business, where he was responsible for leading origination and structuring teams in the Chicago and New York offices. At GE Capital, Prof. Seaman was responsible for leading significant debt and equity investments and began working with Tricor in 1997 when he arranged acquisition financing for Tree Island. From 1984 to 1990, he held increasingly responsible positions within GE Plastics, namely Marketing Representative for the NORYL products division, Program Specialist for the Building & Construction markets, Program Manager for the Electrical & Electronic industries and Product Manager - LEXAN® Resin. Prior to joining LEXAN in 1984, Prof. Seaman spent two years with Owens Corning Fiberglas. He served as an Executive Officer of SABIC Innovative Plastics US, LLC. He serves as the Chairman of CPI Card Group Inc., Gold Standard Baking, Kinetrex Energy and MedTorque and Strong Precision Technologies, Inc. Prof. Seaman has been Director of Avison Young (Canada) Inc. since October 18, 2011. He has been the Non-Executive Chairman at CPI Card Group Inc. since 2007. He serves as a Director of Fabpro Oriented Polymers, LLC, BFG Supply Co., L.L.C., and Keyes Packaging Group, Inc. Prof. Seaman serves as Director of THARCO Containers, Inc. He serves as a Director of Consolidated Utility Services, Inc., and Beresford Box Company, Inc. Prof. Seaman has been an Independent Director of Steel Dynamics Inc. since December 19, 2013, where he serves on both the Audit and Corporate Governance. He serves as Director of Comweb Group, Inc. Prof. Seaman served as the Chairman of Matrix Packaging Inc., and THARCO Containers, Inc. He was a Director of Tree Island Industries, Inc. Prof. Seaman received a B.S. in Business Administration in 1982 from Bowling Green State University and an M.B.A. from the University of Dallas in 1986.
