Keith E. Busse

Biography

    Mr. Keith E. Busse is the Co-Founder of Steel Dynamics Inc. and has been its Chairman since 1993. Mr. Busse served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of Iron Dynamics Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc. He is Owner of Dealership Holdings, LLC and also serves as its Chairman of the Board. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Steel Dynamics Inc. from 1993 to December 31, 2011. He served as the President of Steel Dynamics Inc. from 1993 to May 2007. Prior to 1993, for a period of twenty-one years, he worked for Nucor Corp., where he lastly served as a Vice President. He has been the Chairman of Tower Financial Corporation since January 1, 2010. He served as the Chairman of The American Iron & Steel Institute (AISI) from 2008 to 2009. He has been an Executive Director of Steel Dynamics Inc. since 1993. He has been an Independent Director of Tower Financial since 1998. Mr. Busse serves as a Director of Tower Bank & Trust Company. He has been an Independent Director of Tower Financial Corporation since 1998. He serves as a Director of Iron Dynamics Inc. He serves as a Director of Accuride Henderson Limited Liability Company. He serves as a Director of AKW General Partner LLC, General Partner of Accuride Erie, L.P. From 2004 to 2005, he was Chairman of Steel Manufacturing Association. He been a Trustee of Trine University since 2003. He was a Trustee for the University of St. Francis and Tri-State University. He served as a Director at Accuride Corp. since February 26, 2010 until November 18, 2016. Mr. Busse holds a B.S. in Accounting from International Business College, a B.A. with a major in Business Finance and an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Business from St. Francis College, an MBA from Indiana University and an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Engineering from Purdue University.
