Mark D. Millett

Biography

      Mr. Mark D. Millett is a Co-founder of Steel Dynamics Inc. and has been its President and Chief Executive Officer since January 01, 2012. Mr. Millett served as Chief Operating Officer at Steel Dynamics Inc. since April 2011. He served as President of OmniSource Corporation, a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics from August 2008 to April 2011 and also served as its Chief Operating Officer until April 2011. He served as an Executive Vice President of Steel Dynamics Inc. Mr. Millett served as Executive Vice President of Metals Recycling and Ferrous Resources at Steel Dynamics Inc. since August 2008. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Flat Rolled Steels and Ferrous Resources at Steel Dynamics Inc. from May 1, 2007 to August 2008. Mr. Millett served as an Executive Vice President of Steel Dynamics Inc., from May 1, 2007 to August 2008 and served as its General Manager of Flat Roll Division from 1993 to August 2008. He served as Vice President of Steel Dynamics Inc., since 1993. Mr. Millett also served as Vice President of Iron Dynamics, a subsidiary of Steel Dynamics Inc. Before Steel Dynamics, he served in technical and management positions at Nucor Corporation, which he joined in 1982. He has been an Executive Director of Steel Dynamics Inc. since 1993. He serves as Director of Iron Dynamics. Mr. Millett holds BS in Metallurgy from the University of Surrey in England.
