Biography
Marissa Gray completed her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in 2009 and also earned a Minor in Electrical and Computer Engineering. At WPI, she concentrated on developing electronic medical devices including a wearable diabetic activity monitor. Marissa then attended Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ to pursue a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering. At Stevens, she was the recipient of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Fellowship from 2009-2014 and collaborated with Hackensack University Medical Center to develop a novel telesonography system. Soon after graduating in 2014, Marissa accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Stevens and is now the Associate Director of Graduate Programs for her Department. Her teaching and research interests include bioinstrumentation, medical imaging, image quality analysis, and wireless applications. Dr. Gray has published and presented her image quality and telesonography research at several conferences and journals within the field of biomedical engineering.
