Biography
Dr. Sally F. Shady has worked in industry for several years designing and developing medical devices. During her doctoral research at the University of Massachusetts, she investigated the synthesis and characterization of core shell nanospheres encapsulated with antibiotics which were implanted into a contact lens. She continued with post-doctoral research work at UMASS while teaching engineering courses. From 2013 to 2016, she joined Wentworth Institute of Technology as an Assistant Professor in the Biomedical Engineering department. She taught courses in medical device design, biomechanics and senior capstone.
