Biography
Jamie Stuart is the Emmy award-winning weekend sports anchor for News 12 Long Island. Jamie Stuart is what we call a sports "lifer." Ever since he was 5 years old, his world has revolved around sports. Jamie figured out by the age of 12 that he wouldn't be wearing Yankee pinstripes, Jets' green, or Knicks' white anytime soon, so what would be the next best thing? Talking about those teams! Jamie attended the prestigious S.I. Newhouse school at Syracuse University, where he majored in Broadcast Journalism. After graduating, Jamie took a job as a reporter at Neighborhood News 12, an affiliate of News 12 Long Island. Soon after, the sports producer job opened at News 12, Jamie auditioned and won the job. He filled in as an anchor and reporter for three years, and now Jamie is the full-time weekend sports anchor/weekday sports reporter. When he's not involved in sports, which is rare, Jamie enjoys working out, watching movies and spending time with his family.
