Biography
Nick Nikiforakis is affiliated with the National Security Institute. He received his PhD in Computer Science from KU Leuven in Belgium. He received his MSc, in Parallel and Distributed Systems and BSc in Computer Science from the University of Crete, Greece.
Research Interest
Dr. Nikiforakis’ dissertation addressed the increasingly serious problem of cybercrime. He investigated large groups of web applications, searching for systematic vulnerabilities, and discovered many unknown issues and vulnerabilities. He developed client-side countermeasures against popular web- application attacks that did not require the assistance of any third parties.
