Paul Vaska

Biography

Dr. Paul Vaska is currently working as a professor in the Department of Radiology, Stony Brook University , USA. His research interests includes quantitative PET techniques, especially for the human brain and in preclinical models with an emphasis on the underlying physics. We have pioneered multiple new types of medical imaging instrumentation and data processing algorithms. In particular, we developed the RatCAP conscious animal PET scanner and one of the first simultaneous PET/MRI systems for rodents.. He /she is serving as an editorial member and reviewer of several international reputed journals. Dr. Paul Vaska is the member of many international affiliations. He/ She has successfully completed his Administrative responsibilities. He /she has authored of many research articles/books related to quantitative PET techniques, especially for the human brain and in preclinical models with an emphasis on the underlying physics.
