Biography
Frank Irizarry is an instructor in the Department of Advertising, Public Relations, & Digital Media. He received his M.A. in Speech Communication from Northern Illinois University and his B.A. from Marist College. He is currently finishing his Ph.D. in the College of Mass Communications and Journalism at The University of Florida. His emphasis is in Health Communication and Public Relations. His scholarly interests include public relations, health communication, persuasion, communication apprehension, critical studies of popular culture and scientific communication. Frank will be teaching public relations courses at Suffolk University. Prior to joining Suffolk, Frank served as the Director of Policy Debate and as Director of the Basic Speech Course at The University of Florida. Frank was a Lecturer, teaching courses in Public Relations, Argumentation and Legal Communication. He served at The University of Florida for eight years. While at The University of Florida, he developed courses for an on-line program in Gerontology Studies, taught graduate courses in Professional Communication for the University of Florida Business School.
