T. Clifford Deveny

Biography

Dr. T. Clifford Deveny, also known as Cliff, M.D., has been an Interim Chief Executive Officer, Interim President and Executive Director of Summa Health since February 24, 2017. Dr. Deveny served as the President at Locus Health (formerly Broad Axe Care Coordination, LLC) since November 07, 2016 until April 25, 2017 and has been its Director since April 25, 2017. He served as Senior Vice President of Physician Services and Clinical Integration at Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) until October 31, 2016. Dr. Deveny is a longtime physician executive and provides leadership and counsel in CHI's efforts to expand its employee enterprise. He oversaw CHI Physician Services (CHIPS) and provided executive leadership to CHI clinical service lines (Cardiovascular, Orthopedic/Spine and Oncology services) and all clinical integration activities including care management and operations of 10 integrated networks. An experienced physician, Cliff is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and has a proven track record of dealing with large, complex medical groups. Prior to his appointment at CHI in 2011, Dr. Deveny served as President of Summa Physicians, Inc. at Summa Health (formerly Summa Health System, Inc.). In this role, he supervised operations of Summa Physicians, Inc., a nonprofit, multi-specialty physician group of 260 providers. Dr. Cliff served as a Vice President of Physician Alignment at Summa Health until 2011 and also served as its Vice President of Service Lines. He serves as a Director of MedSynergies, Inc. and Stat Health Services Inc. Dr. Deveny is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Cliff is a board member of The Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Deveny received his medical degree from the University of Toledo Medical School, Toledo, Ohio and his bachelor's degree in chemistry from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the Medical College of Ohio.
