Biography
Dr. Johannes M. Nitsche pursuit his Bachelor degree in Mathematics and in Chemical Engineering from University of Minnesota in 1984. He received his Ph.D. degree in the year 1989 in Chemical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He started his career as Postdoctoral Associate, Department of Chemical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the year 1989. Then he became NSF-NATO Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England in 1989. He then worked as a Visitor (guest of Professor George K. Batchelor), Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, England periodically over 6 years. In 1990 he worked as an Assistant Professor and in 1995 he became Associate Professor. He then became Professor in 1999.
