Bert Bruggeman

Biography

Bert Bruggeman led the creation of Cypress' Silicon Valley Technology Center, the precursor to SVTC Technologies. Under Bruggeman's leadership, SVTC Technologies has become a profitable enterprise and a leader in the emerging area of semiconductor development foundry services. Prior to this role, Bruggeman was part of the executive management team of Silicon Light Machines, a start-up in the field of optical MEMS devices, where he was responsible for operations and product engineering. He joined Cypress Semiconductor from IMEC, Belgium, in 1996. During that time, he held various management positions in technology, operations and business management. He has authored and co-authored more than 20 publications in the field of process development and semiconductor operations and holds one U.S. patent. Bruggeman holds an MSEE degree from the Catholic University of Leuven, Belgium.
