Jerry C. Moyes

Biography

 Mr. Jerry C. Moyes serves as the President of Swift Leasing Co. Inc. and Swift Leasing Co., LLC. Mr. Moyes is the Owner of SME Industries Inc. and served as its President. Mr. Moyes serves as Senior Advisor of Knight-Swift Transportation Holdings Inc.(formerly, Knight Transportation Inc.). He is Founder of Swift Holdings Corp. and served as its Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Moyes founded Swift Transportation Company in 1966 and has been its Chairman Emeritus since January 30, 2017 and served as its Co-Chief Executive Officer from May 2007 to December 31, 2016. Mr. Moyes served as the Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President at Swift Corporation. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Swift Transportation Company from 1986 to 2005 and President from 1986 to January 2009. He joined Swift in 1966 as Vice President until 1984. Mr. Moyes founded Central Freight Lines Inc. in 1997 and served as its Chairman from 1997 to May 3, 2005. He serves as Chairman of SME Industries Inc. and Southwest Premier Properties. He served as the Chairman of Simon Transportation Services Inc. from September 2000 to February 2002. He served as Chairman of the Board of Central Refrigerated from April 2002 to December 31, 2002. He served as Chairman of Swift Transportation Company from 1984 to January 2009. He has been a Director of Swift Transportation Company since 1984 and Central Refrigerated Service, Inc. since 2002. He serves as a Director of Swift Holdings Corp. He served as a Director of Simon Transportation Services Inc. and Arizona Coyotes (a/k/a Phoenix Coyotes Hockey Club LLC). He served as a Director of Swift Corporation. He served as a Director of Central Freight Lines Inc. from 1997 to May 3, 2005. He served as Chairman, Vice President and President of the Arizona Trucking Associations. He served as President of the Arizona Motor Transport Association from 1987 to 1988. He served as Board Member and Vice President of the American Trucking Associations. He served as a board member of the Truckload Carriers Association. He served as a Director for the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and a member of the Center for Entrepreneurship at Brigham Young University. Mr. Moyes graduated from Weber State University in 1966 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and an honorary doctorate degree.
