Biography
As co-president of Syska Hennessy Group, Cyrus Izzo leads one the world’s leading engineering firms, with more than 500 professionals across 16 offices. Cyrus, who joined Syska in 1993 as an electrical engineer from Ammann & Whitney, became co-president in 2007. He has overseen the expansion of the firm’s capabilities into consulting, information and communications technology; overseen geographic expansion into new offices in Dubai and Shanghai; codified best engineering practices; and established a collaborative and diverse management team to lead the firm’s future growth. In 2005, Cyrus established Syska’s first global practice, Critical Facilities, which has become a world top-three (per ENR) mission critical engineering firm, designing core systems for some of the world’s most important data centers and trading floors. He continues to be a hands-on leader, overseeing several of the firm’s key client relationships and projects with organizations such as JPMorgan Chase, Microsoft, The Mount Sinai Hospital and Morgan Stanley.
