Biography
Kathrin Phelan Midgley has a BA from Trinity College. She started her career working in nonprofit development and capital campaign management. For nearly 15 years she has been deeply involved in governance of Taconic. Kathrin was chair of the Phelan Family Council for four years and is the founding chair of the Phelan Family Enterprises board of directors. She served for several years on numerous committees of the Taconic corporate board of directors before her recent election as the first member of the third generation of her family to serve as a member of the board of directors. She is a published author and has lectured frequently on the topic of family governance. In addition to her work with Taconic, Kathrin has served as a board member for several nonprofit institutions. This combination of external and Taconic experiences position her well to Chair the current Board.
