Biography
Greg Johnson rejoined CardiacAssist in 2013, having previously worked in the company’s engineering, research and development, and clinical support groups. He was one of the leaders of the team that developed the pump technology currently used in the TandemHeart. Greg has more than 18 years of experience working with cardiopulmonary support devices, including significant responsibilities for engineering, research and development, clinical support, regulatory affairs, quality assurance and management. He holds a BS in Engineering Science from Iowa State University, an MS in Bioengineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
