Robert Svitek

Biography

 Robert Svitek joined CardiacAssist in 2006 and has served as the Director of Engineering since 2007 overseeing all research, development, and engineering activities. Prior to joining CardiacAssist, he was a clinical engineer working with ventricular assist devices and pediatric extracorporeal membrane oxygenation at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) for six years. He obtained his undergraduate degree in bioengineering and Ph.D. in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh researching novel respiratory assist devices.
