Biography
Dr. Rawal completed his dental training in 1986 and pursued and completed advanced training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in 1990. Since then he has been teaching and practicing Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at universities in India and at The University of the West Indies, Trinidad and Tobago. He advanced his training and experience further by completing another residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He joined the department of Biologic and Diagnostic Sciences, College of Dentistry, University of Tennessee Health Science Center in July 2005. He has about 15 scientific publications and he is particularly interested in salivary gland and soft tissue tumor pathology.
Research Interest
Dr. Rawal’s interests lie in mucosal soft tissue tumors and gnathic bone lesions. He brings over 25 years of experience in diagnostic clinical pathology and histopathology to the University of Washington’s Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology biopsy service.
