Biography
Dr. Deidra J. Schleicher is an Associate Professor of Management in the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. She previously was an Associate Professor and University Faculty Scholar at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University (from 2003-2012). She has also held faculty positions at the University of Tulsa (1999-2003) and Kansas State University (1998-1999). She received her Ph.D. in 1998 from Penn State. Deidra regularly teaches courses on managing human capital to MS/HRM students, MBAs, and executive audiences and has been frequently recognized as a distinguished instructor. Her research, teaching, and consulting experiences focus primarily on the areas of performance management, talent management, and employee development, with secondary interests in employee attitudes and engagement. Her published research has appeared in numerous top-tier journals, and she has served as an associate editor at the Journal of Management and the Journal of Applied Psychology.
