Kathrin Dunlap

Biography

Dr. Kathrin Dunlap is an assistant professor in the physiology of reproduction section of the Department of Animal Science. She graduated from Oregon State University with a bachelor’s degree and masters degree in animal science with an emphasis on endocrinology. Dr. Dunlap received a doctorate in physiology of reproduction from Texas A&M University and conducted postdoctoral studies at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences prior to joining the Department of Animal Science. She conducts research in reproductive biology with an interest in uterine biology and pregnancy. Dr. Dunlap’s research interests are focused on investigating the fundamental molecular mechanisms regulating the development and function of the placenta and the subsequent impact on fetal growth, viability and long-term health. Her laboratory utilizes complementary in vitro and in vivo model systems that include domestic and laboratory animals. Her professional memberships include the Interdisciplinary Faculty of Reproductive Biology at Texas A&M University and the Society for the Study of Reproduction.
