Biography

Kevin Roach became an Executive Professor in the Accounting Department of Mays Business School in August, 2008. This has become Kevin’s second career following his retirement from PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) in June, 2008 after nearly 35 years with that leading professional services firm. Kevin served as a tax partner at PwC for 24 years where he provided tax advisory services to corporate executives, closely held business owners and other high net worth individuals specializing in income and estate tax, executive compensation and philanthropic planning issues. At one point, Kevin was the national managing partner of PwC’s Personal Financial Planning practice and was the regional managing partner for this practice in the Southwest and West. Kevin prepared for his role as an educator by teaching numerous tax technical courses to internal audiences at PwC as well as teaching courses at Niagara University and, more recently, at the University of Southern California. Kevin is a Certified Public Accountant and has obtained the specialist designation in Personal Financial Planning from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). He has also served on the Executive Committee of the AICPA Personal Financial Planning Division. At the Mays Business School, Kevin has now taught both graduate and undergraduate tax courses. He has also been the faculty coordinator for the seminar class for newly admitted students into the Professional Program
