Larry P. Tadlock

Biography

Dr. Larry P. Tadlock is the Program Director, and an Assistant Clinical Professor of Orthodontics at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry. He has been teaching in the Orthodontic Department since 2000. He received his undergraduate degree from the Univ. of Texas at Arlington, and his DDS from the College of Dentistry in 1984. He received his MS degree and orthodontic specialty certificate from the Univ. of Texas Health Science Center, Houston in 1988. Dr. Tadlock has been in full time private practice for 26 years, and continues a part time practice in Keller, TX. Dr. Tadlock is currently a Director of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO) where he serves as chair of the Clinical Exam Committee and the Public Relations Committee. He also serves as an ABO liaison to the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and to the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodontics, and he is a CODA site visitor. Dr. Tadlock will be President of the ABO in 2018. Dr. Tadlock has lectured to numerous organizations nationally and internationally, and is an active member of many professional organizations. He is a past President of the Southwestern Society of Orthodontists and the Univ. of Texas Orthodontic Alumni, and served on the Board of Trustees for the SWSO. Dr. Tadlock has been the recipient of numerous teaching, clinical and professional service awards. The most notable include the Earl E. and Wilma S. Shepard Award of Distinguished Service from the American Board of Orthodontics (2008), and the Yellen – Shoverling Award from the Univ. of Texas Alumni (2009).
