Biography
Ms. Lisa Sherman has been Chief Executive Officer and President at The Advertising Council, Inc. since November 03, 2014. Ms. Sherman joined Viacom in 2005 to launch LogoTV, the leading ad-supported entertainment network aimed at lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. Ms. Sherman was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of LogoTV. In her role, Ms. Sherman oversaw all strategy, programming, production, marketing, digital and operations of the brand. Additionally, Ms. Sherman's multi-platform digital strategy resulted in Logo becoming the #1 destination of online properties for the LGBT audience, including a social audience across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr and Vine of over 5 million fans. Prior to joining Logo, Ms. Sherman served as Executive Vice President at Hill, Holliday, part of the Interpublic Group of Companies. Previously, she co-founded the Women's Sports Network, a marketing services company dedicated to the marketing and management of sports, entertainment and promotions for Fortune 500 companies aspiring to reach teens, women and families through their passion for sports. Ms. Sherman serves as Vice Chair of the Board of the New York City-based God's Love We Deliver and is an advisor and corporate partner to the Greater New York initiative, a public-private partnership of the Mayor's Fund to advance New York City. Ms. Sherman held a number of senior level marketing, advertising and operating positions at Verizon over the course of 17 years.
